The York Theatre has been renovated and restored to a LEED Gold Standard.

The goal of the project was to restore and upgrade most of the theatre that was built in 1913. Additions that were made to the front and south sides of the building in the 1960s were demolished, and a new 2-storey glass lobby was built. The exterior of the building was restored to its 1940s art deco finish to reflect and honour the time when the theatre was known as the York Theatre and the home of the Vancouver Little Theatre.

The historic and purpose-built theatre for the performing arts now features 355 seats, a new glass lobby, 1940s art deco finish, a proscenium stage, fly tower, orchestra pit, and excellent acoustics and sightlines.
