The Orpheum Theatre was closed for three months to complete upgrades to the existing basement, main floor, and 2nd-floor dressing rooms. 

The scope of work also included the expansion into the new Capitol 6 theatre which included the installation of new dressing rooms in the new space.

Work was performed all around the clock, and the theatre remained operational for scheduled shows to the great satisfaction of the City of Vancouver and the Vancouver Civic Theatre.
